ABOUT US

The world is a jungle, and tourism is sometimes even worse!

Loads of big groups, people offering tours at every single corner, a big “tourist hunt”, local-watching as we were in a zoo… where did human contact get lost?

This is what we felt when we created “Heartmade tours”, after many years of experience in this jungle (uhahah) :

– The human experience is  more than a master class in History.

– A smile is more important than a big tip.

– Quality is more important than quantity.

– Places are made out of sounds, smells, tastes and most important, people!

Let’s keep it human! Let’s keep it informative! Let’s keep it fun!

Italian by birth, artist by nature and guide by decision, yes she is these three things and much more in just one incredible and really tall person (don't ask but... her father is a tree).

How can such a big heart fit in such a concentrated little body? This dark-skinned Chilean has an incredible curiosity for the world but above all for the human being. A little bit Punk and Anarchic, but what are we going to do... Nobody is perfect!

We are the kind of people who die for living, travelling, enjoying the city that adopted us, its pleasures and its surroundings.

Who said that you must be born in a place to be a “local”? We believe that passion, curiosity and love for a place are not transmitted through blood or inherited with your Birth certificate. We are legally foreigners (“gringos or guiris” as people say here, Javi is from Chile, Sara is from Italy) and we both believe in a world without borders, where open-mindedness and passion make it easy to connect with new places and people.

We’ve always lived in a transnational world and era: skype helps us to have breakfast with our families on the other side of the planet or to sing happy birthday to our grandma (with only 6 hours jet lag). So, let’s take the best out of it!

That’s the way we are: local and foreign at the same time. This helps us noticing those things that are obvious for locals  and, at the same time, as we live it in our everyday life, we are able to explain them to people that can maybe find it peculiar, from the outside!

OUR PRINCIPLES ARE

Providing an informative experience which allow people to go beyond prejudices and myths, and really live the local environment, understand its codes and meet the people that make it different

Believing that a person that loves her job is a happy person and can make other people happy. And many happy people together can make this world a little bit better. (We are such a bunch of hippies)
